When you add a list in the override in Statsig, the system ensures that the users in the override list are assigned to the specified group. This action, however, does not affect the 50/50 split for the rest of the users who are not in the override list. The assignment of users is deterministic based on their ID, so your overrides won't affect other users.

Furthermore, it's important to note that overrides don't affect assignment for users outside of the overridden users. Overrides are typically meant for testing and by default, they are excluded from analysis. This means that even with the override assigned to a specific group, the test/control group split will still maintain a 50/50 ratio.
