Dynamic loading

Dynamic loading is a technique that allows you to load parts of your application on demand, like ordering a la carte at a fancy restaurant. It's a way to keep your initial bundle size small and improve performance, especially for single-page applications that are starting to rival the complexity of operating systems.

How to use it in a sentence

  • "I'm going to use dynamic loading to load the 'About Us' page only when the user clicks on the link, so I don't have to include it in the initial bundle and slow down the page load," said the developer, sipping their third cup of coffee for the day.

  • The tech lead announced, "We're going to implement dynamic loading for all non-critical components to improve our Lighthouse scores and make the marketing team happy, even though it means more work for us."
