Hypermedia is a fancy term for including links, images, videos, and other interactive elements alongside plain text. It's like the difference between a boring old printed book and a slick, modern website filled with flashy gizmos to click on.
I tried to impress the new dev manager by casually mentioning hypermedia and RESTful APIs in the standup, but he just rolled his eyes and asked for a status update on the login bug.
The know-it-all architect keeps insisting we use hypermedia for everything, but I'm pretty sure he just learned the word last week at some overpriced conference and now wants to cram it into every conversation.
