How can we add comments to document reasons for changes to gates/dynamic configs in Statsig?

Date of slack thread: 7/3/24

Anonymous: Hi there

Slight bit of feedback that you may have received already. It’d be great if: when saving modifications to gates/dynamic configs, we could provide a comment alongside the changes. This would be really helpful so that we could capture the why something is changing, rather than just the what changed.

Ryan Musser (Statsig): Hey there - today we do have a way to incorporate this using reviews: https://docs.statsig.com/guides/setting-up-reviews

The user can submit a description of their changes for the reviewer. The potential gap with our current solution is that the description of the changes does not persist passed the review approval/rejection.

I’d be curious on your use case. Is it a long lived description of the changes you’re after for historical review? Or just for approving/making changes in that moment you want to know why things are changing? Curious to learn a bit more about what you’re thinking specifically. And thank you for the feedback!
