How can I create a new project in Statsig if I'm part of the "be significant" startup program and the option isn't available?

Date of slack thread: 4/4/24

Anonymous: Hi team, I just got started using statsig, and I’m unable to create a new project in my organization. Any way to fix this? I don’t see a create new project button anywhere

Anonymous: I am the owner of the organization, which is why I am confused

Anonymous: https://console.statsig.com/organization/projects

Anonymous: I’m not able to see anything on the projects page to create a new project

Matt Garnes (Statsig): Hey, I can help, sorry about this. Let me take a look

Matt Garnes (Statsig): The problem is that because you’re part of the “be significant” startup program, we intend to only allow one project to be created (this is a restriction that is lifted if you become an enterprise customer). You’ve already got a project but it was archived, so we should show the create new button here if you don’t have any unarchived projects and I consider this a bug I can fix now for you.

Anonymous: Makes sense, thanks for the help!

Anonymous: Is there also a way to unarchive the project?

Matt Garnes (Statsig): Probably, I can check with the team! Do you think it was a mistake? I don’t have context on what happened there, though I can find out if you don’t know

Anonymous: Yes, I think the project was archived by mistake, so unarchiving it would be great!

Matt Garnes (Statsig): did you have a lot in there? looks like it isn’t trivial to recover so my preference is to fix the bug fast and get you going on creating again if that would work for you

Anonymous: Yeah in that case, I would rather go ahead and create a new project

Matt Garnes (Statsig): sounds good! I’ll get this fixed for you today so you can

Anonymous: Great, thanks!

Matt Garnes (Statsig): no problem! sorry for the inconvenience. ETA on this is 30 min

Matt Garnes (Statsig): please try now, this should work for you!

Anonymous: Yes, it works. Thanks!

Matt Garnes (Statsig): Great, you’re welcome!
