How can I templatize a view with basic statistics in Statsig?

Date of slack thread: 4/17/24

Anonymous: Is there a way to templatize a view with some very basic statistics on it?

For example. I would love to be able to have a basic basket of metrics, dau, some event counts, be able to be looked up for a feature gate or experiment for data that passes the feature gate or experiment. Am I correct in assuming this is basically experiment templates?

YZ Sun (Statsig): Hi Jake, if you have a set of metrics that you want to use across multiple feature gates or experiments, this can be achieved with tags and collections of metrics too.

Timothy Chan (Statsig): Hi Jake, We have a special “★ Core” tag that automatically gets included in all Experiments and Gates computations. For some reason, I can’t find it on your project (it may have been deleted by someone on your side). Let me know if this would solve your problem, and I can get the team to add it back in.

Anonymous: Ohhhh, that would be useful

Timothy Chan (Statsig): CC @U035PQUHT2L for help re-enabling this tag.
