We're thrilled to announce the official release of Statsig Server Core v0.1.0, a groundbreaking update to several of our server SDKs. Server Core is a performance-focused rewrite of our Java, Node, Elixir, Rust, and Python server SDKs using a shared core Rust library. This update enables unparalleled speed and efficiency for processing growth metrics and server-side evaluations.
Performance boost: Experience 5-10x faster evaluation speeds thanks to performance optimizations with Rust.
New features: Enjoy new server-side features including Parameter Stores, SDK Observability Interfaces, and streaming flag/experiment changes with the Statsig Forward Proxy.
If you’re using a legacy server SDK and want to migrate to Server Core, you can get started with our docs. There are no set deprecation dates for legacy SDKs yet, but customers who want to enjoy the latest features from Statsig are encouraged to update to Server Core. If you have any questions or concerns about migrating, reach out to us on the Statsig Slack.
In addition to unlocking faster performance, Server Core enables us here at Statsig to focus more on shipping features and less on SDK maintenance. We're really excited about this as part of our engineering ethos to reduce tech debt and invest in what matters to our customers most.
