Vercel Edge Config is an ultra-low latency data store for configuration data, globally distributed on Vercel’s Edge Network. With this release, Statsig will push config updates into Edge Config, where users can consume up-to-date feature flag and experimentation configurations with ultra-low latency.
Teams leveraging both platforms experience a reduction in serverless cold-start times and a greatly improved end-user experience.
Vercel users can now leverage Statsig's server SDK at the edge to grab configurations and bucket users into feature experiences. If you are a Vercel user, you’re empowered to set up the Edge Config integration to pull Statsig configurations from the edge.
The advantages of integrating are driven by Edge Config’s ability to let you read feature flags without network requests to Statsig. By no longer needing to go to the network, this offers a magnitude lower latency and better reliability while lowering infrastructure intensity.
In the screenshot below, you can see the Setup Vercel Integration window. After selecting the Project and Edge Config, Statsig will sync project configs into the selected Edge Config. You can then read the stored values in your project from Edge Config at minimal latency.
With this new integration, Statsig and Vercel customers increase the value achieved for both solutions. The ability to check up-to-date feature gate and experiment assignments through Edge Config results in:
Reduced latency on requests to improve end-user experience, faster website load times, and reduced cumulative layout shift (CLS)
Improved reliability due to no longer needing to go to the network
Reduced infrastructure costs
These outcomes are available to all Statsig and Vercel customers who choose to integrate at no additional cost—just plug and play!

Migrating experimentation platforms is a chance to cleanse tech debt, streamline workflows, define ownership, promote democratization of testing, educate teams, and more.
Calculating the right sample size means balancing the level of precision desired, the anticipated effect size, the statistical power of the experiment, and more.
The term 'recency bias' has been all over the statistics and data analysis world, stealthily skewing our interpretation of patterns and trends.
A lot has changed in the past year. New hires, new products, and a new office (or two!) GB Lee tells the tale alongside pictures and illustrations:
A deep dive into CUPED: Why it was invented, how it works, and how to use CUPED to run experiments faster and with less bias.
